Egg Carton basket Mini Muses

Hello Friends! Here is my newest creation & I am having SO much fun with them. They are so easy to make. I simply cut apart a sturdy gray egg carton into single cups. I punched a mini hole in each side of the carton cup and threaded some gold wire. I twirled it a few times to make the handle interesting. To introduce more detail on the sides I added a button where the wire and the basket meet. They are so adorable just dangling there. I then added 2 mini pre made bows form the Martha Stewart line from Michaels. We could easily make these with a roll of ribbon and glue dots which is how I will be doing it from now on for price reasons. But for the prototype these bows were great.

To make these baskets even more beautiful I fill them with 30 year old Vintage cream and white buttons & pearls . My favorite are the ones that have thread still in them from being used before. Finish off the Mini muse with some monochromatic tan feathers and there we have it. A beautiful favor, gift, or decoration. I am going to use these this Easter season for my Mops group. How wonderful would these look sitting at all 45 ladies seats? Very festive and it only costs the cost of the roll of wire. Which lasts approximately 200 baskets I'm guessing.
Currently I'm asking my friends and family to save these gorgeous egg cartons for me to make baskets. Cut your costs and do your part to be green at the same time by making these this Spring season!

Okay Mini Muse Basket it's time for you to fly across the country and make your way to California where you will do a dance and show your loveliness to GreenCraft magazine. Make me proud and inspire all who read the pages graced with your presence:)

Next time we'll be experimenting with what we can do with plastic grape & cottage cheese containers!
