Chalkboard Tags

If you walk into a classroom today you will find a wall of white dry erase board where the chalkboard used to be. Chalkboards are kind of like handscript these days. Very rare to see someone's handwriting. The same if you've found a chalkboard.
Chalkboards to me remind me of Elementary school. it has been almost 20 years since I've been in Kindergarten and yet I can remember very clearly my excitement when they called me up to write something on the chalkboard. I volunteered for every opportunity even though I hated when people looked at me. That just proves how much I loved handwriting.

Some genius decided to put chalkboard in a can and so I am able to bring the chlakboard to my tags. With these tags I've cut up thick cardboard which is actually from Seam binding and bias tape packaging. I saved 100 of these cardboard sheets from my sewing supplies and used them to make chalkboard tags.
I sprayed two cots of this paint and the outcome is a fantastic grungy chalkboard tag.
My favorite use for them so far are as price tags, I'm thinking they would look wonderful in barn sales and flea markets where the tag can be removed when the item is bought and re used again.
I am also going to use these on all of the teacher gifts I give this year.
These tags can be purchased here in packs of 10. They will come with cotton strings and a piece of chalk tied with pretty taupe seam binding.
