The Presence of Girls
Motherhood is an astounding job. The realization of Motherhood didn't hit me until a month or so after my son was born. I've heard a million women say you fall in love at first sight and I was shocked to have it not happen when my first was born. I was completely overwhelmed when I didn't think I would be. I had support of all of my family. But nothing to make the realization of motherhood kick in like days or night alone. Just a mother and her children. Trying to figure out the Best way to be a mom. I'm so grateful that my love for my son came, not the first time I held him but rather in the middle of madness. On 2 hours of sleep at a midnight feeding.
At night when these challenges are put on hold. When the children you have turn into silent sleeping angels, is when the realization of how wonderful it really is kicks in.
The other night as I did the "walk through" of the house after the kids fell asleep, I saw little vignettes around the house. Every room was filled with little girl stuff that just made me smile.
So I brought along my camera and captured the gorgeous doll houses and collection of ponies.
I just wish I would have been able to capture my joy of being a Mother.

How true your words always are...I am so glad you captured all of that:)
They are stinking cute and the epitomy of eachother!
Such a true statement about the amazing change your life takes after becoming a mother ~ your images of the vignettes around the house reminded me of why I smile constantly when I see little pieces of my crumb all over the place (the car, the kitchen, the closets, inside my shoes, etc.). Life became much more fuller when she entered my world!
This is such a sweet post. Your girls are PRECIOUS. My son is my youngest (6) so instead of little ponies and dolls, I am finding little Star Wars guys and army guys all around. Sometimes I get annoyed and I have to remind myself that someday I will MISS this so much. :)
oh, they are so sweet.......I love little girls...and boys.
All you images are very, very nice, dear Angela!-)***

I love the pictures of your girls sleeping. One of the crazy things my husband and I have done over the years...is take pictures of them at night asleep. Sometimes they wake up and say funny things...sometimes, they are too tired. Even just last night...my son fell asleep reading, and my girls and I got giggling at him...so we took a picture. We all love going back through these pictures. Their sweet, pure little faces when they are sleeping. Such a sweet post...thank you for sharing!!
Take Care,
Kristin
