Hey guys! How have you all been? It seems as though I took a little blogging break but that's just what it's seems. I've been quite busy. My most exciting news to tell you all is I am currently writing my article for ARTFUL BLOGGING! I'm not sure which issue it will be yet. I'm just so excited that I get to share something I enjoy so much with others & I also feel so blessed to grace the pages where other artists I admire have been before like Sandra Evertson, Marilyn Healey & A Fanciful Twist.
Otherwise I've been trying to perfect my part time job as housekeeper & cook. I don't know what has gotten into me (Honestly I think it's the fresh weather and my windows open)
but I've been crazy productive lately. I haven't organized this much since I was nesting during my last pregnancy. Now I wish I could get myself to want to scrub things like I did then HA:)
Our family has been having a great time on our fall outings. We are visiting alot of different town parks and we've visited two pumpkin patches so far this year. The funny thing is they couldn't be less interested in the pumpkins. They are climbing the hay and seeing animals and playing in the mazes. Don't let this picture fool you. She only picked one up to throw it.
My little munchkin (baby Valoria) is in full swing with the terrible twos. She's turning 2 next month and she's acting like she's 13! It seems as though shes on an emotional roller coaster. One minute she's hugging me and saying "Hi" "Hi" in her extremely cute high pitched voice and the next minute she's hitting me, screaming "no" & throwing herself on the floor. She's been really interested with potty training since her big sister Valencia is now fully potty trained YAY!!! Hooray. It was only I guess a year or so ago I was changing 12 or more diapers a day between the 3 of them. I couldn't be more happy with this & NO part of me will be missing changing diapers!
Speaking of Valencia (3 years old) She is my perfect little angel right now. The coupling of her gorgeous hair and the sweetest voice ever makes your heart melt. She's in the process of learning her Abc's and she is incredibly talented at memorizing words. She's drawn to music and is a wonderful singer and dancer. Although she only dances on her own terms as we know.
As for my loud and sweet 4 year old son Jaedin, he is becoming a very smart and well mannered little boy. I'm just so happy I only have one boy. He just has a never ending compartment of energy. We are working on his sounds and he's doing great. There is only about 5 letters he can't write on demand and he can recite and write his full name. I'm so proud of the level of patience he has for learning.
So that's the update on my little ones. I'm enjoying our time together so much now. It's true the more time you spend quality time with them you really fall into place as a parent. I've definitely become more in tuned with their needs and become more loving towards them since making an effort to get us out of the house and experiencing things.
Also, this month I've decided to take off from the normal free library activities we do and exchange them for more family oriented and outdoor activities for the fall. So every Wednesday we have something exciting to do as a family. So far last week we went to the pumpkin patch. This week we will be going to the park to collect colorful leaves for some art projects the kids & I can do at home during the day. We're going to try making caramel apples too so I should get osme great messy photos. As I was driving the other day I heard these lyrics in Jason Mraz's song I'm yours. Which I really don't love but these lyrics really caught my attention. I'm not sure what aspect of life they speak to right now but it'll become clear at some point.
So I won't hesitate no more. It can not wait I'm sure. There's no need to complicate. Our time is short. This is our fate.... I'm yours
