Seam binding crepe paper frills
All new rolls available for a limited time in these colors.... GET EM HERE :)
I'm in pre move mode and I've looked through every little box in my craft room. I found a whole little tub of satin ribbon and seam binding ribbon. With a pretty limited amount I've created these rolls of seam binding/ crepe paper frills. This mixture of trim sewn together was featured in last January's Artful Blogging Magazine as seen in this post. Use for mixed media art, scrapbooking, gift wrapping, home decor and so much more... See how crepe/ seam binding frills add a layer of 3 dimensional frilly beauty..on a mixed media art collage. This photo was used in January 2009 Artful blogging..

Moving soon :)
I don't think I've ever shown a picture of the inside or outside of my home on my blog before. No particular reason but finally I have photos to show. We have put our home up for sale and these are the photos being used to list it.
We've been so blessed in our adorable little starter home. When my husband and I were 19 we came straight from high school to having our first child marrying and moving into our first home together. That was January 1st 2004. I was 6 months pregnant with my first baby and I was so excited to decorate this home and make it my own. I've loved it here and still do actually.
I've always been a little afraid at the thought of moving in to a "house". This first home is a mobile home and I feel as though it has served as a home with training wheels. There hasn't been any huge breakdowns to fix and it's always been very easy to maintain. With only 900 sq. feet we have had plenty of room to grow into it and just this year have felt the desire for just a little more space. I'm still a little apprehensive about moving. I'm afraid of moving to a bigger home with multiple levels where your family members disappear into their rooms. In this home we're kind of forced to be with each other and I don't want to loose that.
In the beginning of this December we began discussing if it's time to finally try and find a home.
It has been interesting this first month researching what all needs to be done before even beginning the process. We've looked at budgets and income, we've thought about what we would need to have in a home in order to make it worth while moving.
We still have hang ups to work out as all people do when moving I'm sure but it looks as though we may be moving into a home with in the next couple of months. I'm very excited and scared of the unknown. Praying that I'm understanding God's will for our family. Where we should be and what kind of home will be safe and comfortable for our family.
I would love to hear any advice or stories you might have about your moving experiences!

Christmas Decorating
To kick off the idea of Christmas to our young kids we started with a Gingerbread house kit from Michaels that was prices at 9.99 and I used a 40% off coupon. the kids LOVED making this and they love it still as it serves as decor until Christmas day. I feel that this is the first year they can comprehend what Christmas is and anticipate the fun coming.
Every year I dress the kids in christmas colors and have them help us put up the tree. This year was the first I'm sure of many to come where I met resistance from Valencia about what she would wear :) notice she is the one in black and white but still absolutely adrable! This year they helped us fluff the tree branches.
This year I had very simple and light decorations for fall. Some clearance berry garland from Michaels a few years past and some lovely decorations I've received from Blog friends during swaps.
I hop you all are enjoying wonderful Christmas Traditions with your family!!

Valoria Turns 3!
A couple months ago I purchased Cinderella Birthday party decor. For months Cinderella has been her favorite Disney princess and I thought that would be a safe bet for a Birthday party theme. 2 days before the party she starts saying she wants a Flower Birthday party. She as far as I can tell is the artists out of the 3 and can spends hours at a time coloring and painting when the others loose interest. So the day before her birthday party we spent an hour painting 6 sheets of cardstock. every inch filled with acrylic painted flowers. We threaded satin ribbon and used it as a banner hanging over her tea party table.
Valencia using Grandma Purl's (My maternal Grandma's) cat tea pot and tea cups and saucers.
You were an unexpected blessing and I've never known a love like I love this little girl!
We pray for your health and safety everyday. God Bless you darling baby! xoxo
Thanksgiving Pie Feast
That's my sweet little boy on the left. The kids in his Kindergarten class chose if they wanted to be pilgrims or indians and made outfits according to their choices. The pilgrims made collars and hats, bonnets for the girls. The indians all made vests out of Grocery bags and headbands and wrote stories in Indian writing on their vests.
His teacher held a costume making party where parents came to help their little ones make their attire and the next day some of the room mothers & I came to set up their Pie Feast table. I brought all of the table decorations from home so their was no additional cost.
The Pilgrims...
The Indians....
And my sweet little girls who came along for the party..
It's been so fun being a room parent for my son's class this year. I can't wait for the Christmas and Valentine's Parties to come!
