Sea Combing Swap

Mini rock collected on my vacation from San Simeon, CA. I painted with copper metallic paint and ivory flowers to add as an embellishment to this 4 by 4 inch collage banner.

Passion for Trims!

I've tried to make and shop for many different items to sell in my Etsy shop and this is what I have found to be my ultimate passion! I LOVE and am completely OBSESSED with Vintage trims, Lace, Ribbons. Can't get enough! Couple that with my collection of vintage charms & it creates some beautiful collections. The tags are addicting too. Some of these trims are 30 years old and some are cut up and coffee dyed blouses.
Last night was my Coffee dying night. It produced some really beautiful colored laces and ribbons. Here they are hanging up to dry.

I added clip art to the tags so that when the trims are all gone you can use them as gift tags or for Scrapping.

Aren't these cute? Rusty Miniature Watering Cans with Real dried flowers in the tips. I made these for Monica's shop but I love them so much I'm going to make some more as favors for Valencia's Garden Birthday Party.

Celebrate what you want more of!

There has been a huge rise of Gratitude in my life this week. The motto of success I like to go by is Celebrate what you want more of. Therefore be so incredibly grateful for what you enjoy and receive and you will receive more of it. Whether you believe you are calling it to yourself or maybe you are just raising your high vibes and making yourself happier and more confident in rejoicing for the things you receive. Either way life isn't too terribly long and because you never know when you will talk to someone again you must tell them how thankful & grateful you are for the wonderful things they do. I thank many people daily (probably to the point of being annoying:) for all of the wonderful ways my life is brightened by you. And so this is the theme I wanted to go with while sending out my Happy Everything Card Swap.

Here are some happy things I would like to celebrate this week. I want to celebrate Katie (Ragamuffin Gals) blogoversary. Hope lots more are to come. She is the most consistently thoughtful person. I'm so glad I have found great friends while doing swaps like Katie, Marilyn, Sherry and Kris to name a few.

This precious cupcake hanger she made me is on display in my car.

Another thing I'd like to celebrate is sending in my first package to a Somerset Life Magazine. There are so many sister zines to apply for and one that I'm extremely excited about is GreenCraft. I can't wait to send them projects to (hopefully) publish. It's so great that Stampington has already been green by publishing ways to use vintage supplies in artwork but now a whole magazine dedicated to it is going to be great for my generation. I feel like it would be a complete circle realization as I worked at Michaels Arts and Crafts for 6 years and used to look through the pages of these magazines every month.

Books that Amuse me

If you thought I was going to recommend books for you to read, Sorry. I hope there aren't any book lovers out there that are too upset. My husband was. Couldn't believe I would do this to a book. I'm not much of a reader. I honestly don't like anything but pictures and short captions :) Something I need to work on. Until then I have to "play" with books to amuse me.
What I want more of...

If you're in the revolution of consciousness you'll understand what I mean by vision board, Which of course I have but it was fun making this Words of Vision book display.

Anastasia

The kids newest Animated Movie is Anastasia. (One of my favorites) I can not get this song out of my head. I thought if I created a piece of artwork and wrote it down that would get it out of my system. It hasn't, I just moved onto a new verse. Looks like I'm just going to have to create the whole songs worth :)

Here is my sweet little Princess Valencia. She is turning 3 years old next month & I've just completed her invitation ornaments for her Garden party. Since we have 9 grandchildren born in 9 consecutive years there would be too many birthday parties throughout the year so we've decided to throw a 3 in one Garden Party for Valencia & her cousins Isabella & Ammiel. I think the girls will like seeing pictures of themselves altered to be butterflies & they can use these ornaments as decor in their rooms.
